888.com and PokerNews to Start Series 3 of Joint Event

Pacific Poker, the World’s No. 1 Online Casino, 888.com, and the most extensive online poker authority, PokerNews.com, are ready to begin Series 3 of PokerProForAYear. This is the third series of tournaments in a year-long league that will culminate with a poker player’s dream come true for one person – an everything-included sponsorship to four of the poker world’s greatest tournaments in 2008. The upcoming global freeroll for Series 3 is a package to the WSOP in Las Vegas worth a fantastic $12,000.
Each series offers a variety of restricted tournaments: weekly $10+$1 – all of which are $500 guaranteed, league $500 freerolls and a global freeroll, where the winner can get a seat at an offline international event. A large number of registered players from around the world participated in Series 1, where they shared over $10,500 in prizes.

The competition has already produced a number of winners. The winners of the global freeroll so far are Kairit L. (Estonia), who won a package to EPT Dortmund, and Martin P. (UK), who will be competing at the WSOP. These packages include a seat at the table, travel and accommodation. The Series 1 finalist, Ilya S. (Germany), will participate in the final offline event. Should Ilya, or any one of our future series finalists win the offline event and become the PokerProForAYear Grand Prize winner, he or she will walk away with a year-long sponsorship. The runner-up will also be sponsored in one international offline event in 2008, and the third place winner will receive free entries to online qualifiers for global offline events.
