Online Gambling Outfit Pleads Guilty to Racketeering

BetOnSports, an online gambling company, has pleaded guilty to racketeering charges, according to an announcement last week by U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway.

The Associated Press reported that her office has been pressing a 22-count indictment against the company and its top executives. The London-based BetOnSports was barred in November from accepting any bets from U.S. gamblers. An attorney for BetOnSports said the company is going out of business.
