Down to Final Ten at WPT Mandalay Bay Poker Championship

As the poker world shifts its focus today to the first event of the 2007 World Series of Poker, some unfinished business still remains down the road from the Rio at the WPT Mandalay Bay Poker Championship, where they’re down to just ten players all aiming for a seat at the televised table and the first place prize of $768,775.
With the lead is Jared Hamby, known/feared by Bodog online poker players as “TheWacoKidd.” Stacked at 698,000 in chips, the 25-year- old online specialist has been a dominating force in live poker tournaments lately, winning two prelim events at the Bellagio Five Star World Poker Classic to pocket $522,735. Hamby’s recent success at the Bellagio and impressive showing at Mandalay Bay no doubt makes him one of the players to watch at this year’s WSOP.
