Gaming Group Files Case Against US Attorney General

The Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association (iMEGA) has launched court proceedings in an attempt to stop the United States from continuing to implement the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) which was passed late last year.

The lawsuit, which names US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Reserve System as defendants, contests the UIGEA, an act which makes it illegal for banking facilities to accept money transfers to and from online gambling sites.
