The sponsor of Real Madrid BWin has problems with Spanish laws
Under Spanish laws it is illegal to promote online gambling services for unlicensed online gambling companies. Therefore Spain communication watchdog, Asociacion de Usuarios de la Comunicacion (AUC) has sent a formal complaint to Spains Ministry of Economy and Taxes, telling that the partnership between the Australian online betting firm Bwin and Spanish football team, Real Madrid, is contravening up to eight Spanish laws.
However Real Madrid wears shirts with Bwin logo. But Francisco Antonio Gonzales, the sports spokesman for Spain’s opposition party, Partido Popular, told the management of Real Madrid that they should expect some changes if the deal is recognized illegal.
