US should pay $3,44 billion of the compensation for the online gambling ban
Antigua and Barbuda asked $3,44 billion in compensation from US for its banning online gambling for Americans.
The government said in a statement that the compensation would be in the form of Antigua withdrawing intellectual property protection for US trademarks, patents and industrial designs.
Errol Cort said that they felt they had no other choice, they had fought long and hard for fair access to the US market and had won at every stage of the WTO process. He also added that this industry had been and could be regulated.
The EU also agrees with Antigua and Barbuda and also will seek compensation from US for the online gambling ban.
