News Jackpotjoy Casino’s jurisdiction
JackpotJoy Casino has moved its servers and operations from Curacao to Malta in the last week of August.
Malta is a member state of the EEA (European Economic Area), which makes Jackpotjoy fully compliant with the new UK laws from 1 September, the effect of which is that only companies regulated in the EEA or so called “white listed” jurisdictions may operate fully in the United Kingdom. Gaming operators must then be licensed in the EU or in a territory on the UK “white list”: Isle of Man, Alderney and Gibraltar.
