Pebble Beach Welcomes ‘Lefty’
Phil Mickelson is the heavy favorite in this weekend’s PGA event. Mickelson won’t have Tiger to worry about this weekend but there is a number of other contenders who could easily take the AT&T Pebble Beach championship. Jim Furyk, Mike Weir and Davis Love III are all in the field this weekend and don’t count out Vijay Singh, Justin Leonard or Padraig Harrington
Pac-10 Punch Up
The Washington State Cougars are one of the surprise teams this season in the NCAA and Thursday night they’ll be in tough against the #5-ranked team in the country, the UCLA Bruins. With freshman Kevin Love leading the way the Bruins are 8-1 in conference play. The Cougars have struggled playing their Pac-10 rivals and are only 5-4, including a 81-74 loss to the Bruins in January.
The Big Ticket is Baaaaacck!
Despite being injured the last few games you have to know that Kevin ‘The Big Ticket’ Garnett will be in the lineup Thursday night when the Boston Celtics play against Garnett’s original team, the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The game will certainly be an emotional one for KG as he returns to the city he played the first 12 years of his NBA career in.
