NBA Gets Down to Nitty Gritty

The Pittsburgh Penguins were beaten up by the Detroit Red Wings in the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final but managed to bounce back with a gritty 3-2 win tonight at home. Game 4 of the best-of-seven series goes on Saturday (8 pm ET, NBC).

After years of dominating the rough-and-tumble world of Mixed Martial Arts fighting, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has some stiff competition in the form of the Elite XC. And that competition will become more heated with Elite XC’s deal with CBS, a first for network TV. CBS coverage starts Saturday at 9 pm ET.

It was enough to make the purists weep.
