What Not To Do

When it comes to online casinos, there’s a few very important things a player should avoid. We’ll discuss each of these here, in our ‘What Not To Do’ section of the Beginners Casino Guide. Please do not disregard the information on this page as it can save you a lot of time, frustration and money!

Don’t Give Out Your Password: Never, ever give your password to anyone. No matter how well you think you know them (yes, we’re talking about family, too!), this is the fastest way to have your bankroll wiped out. Online casinos will not help you recover your fraudulent losses if it was your own fault!

Don’t Break the Law: If it is illegal to gambling online in your jurisdiction, don’t do it. If an online casino says they do not honor accounts from your country, don’t sign up. Just because they let you deposit money into your account does not mean they are going to let you withdrawal it back out. If you aren’t sure about the laws in your area, call your local legislative office and ask.

Don’t Take Every Bonus: It’s not always worth the bonus money to take every single bonus offer that comes your way. It takes a lot of time to clear a single bonus, and most of them have expirations. If you are only part way through clearing the first bonus, accepting another one just means it will probably expire before you can begin to clear it. Casinos tend to overload players with bonus offers because they know that the player cannot withdrawal while clearing a bonus.

Don’t Join a Casino just for the Bonus: Yes, there are some very enticing casino bonus offers out there, but be sure to look at the whole picture before signing up an account. Are they licensed and regulated? Do they have a favorable game variety? Will the existing player promotions benefit you later on?

Don’t Sign-Up More than 1 Account per Household: It is possible for two more more members of a single household to have an account in a single online casino, but only one of these players will be able to take advantage of any bonus offers. Should two members of the same house try to get the same bonus, the online casino may freeze your account to investigate. It’s not worth the time and effort. Open your player accounts at separate online casinos.

Don’t Join Without a Photo ID: Most online casinos will require you to provide proof of your identity before processing the first withdrawal. This will include one form of valid photo ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.), along with other other documents. If you don’t have a Photo ID, don’t bother signing up an account with any online casino. You’ll be able to deposit, but you’ll never be able to withdrawal your winnings.

Don’t Play New Strategy Games for Money: If you want to play strategy games, you need to learn the proper strategy first. If you’ve never played the game, play for fun, not real money. You will always lose a strategy game if you don’t know the strategy to beat it.
