Withdrawing
Even more important than getting your funds deposited into an online casino account, is whether you’ll be able to withdrawal them back out. Online casinos provide various withdrawal options to accommodate all of their members. However, your geographic location can greatly effect the number and speed of withdrawal methods available to you.
How to Make a Withdrawal
In order to make a withdrawal from your online casino account, you need only log into the casino, click over to the cashier section, and choose to make a withdrawal. From here, you’ll be given a list of viable withdrawal methods. Select the withdrawal method that suits you best, enter the amount you wish to withdrawal, and submit the transaction.
Most online casinos invoke a 48-hour waiting period before processing any withdrawal requests. The idea is that the player may change their mind within this time, and can instantly reverse the withdrawal request before it is initiated.
Depending on the online casino and your withdrawal method of choice, you may be required to verify your identity. You would be required to fax two forms of ID verification, including one photo ID (ID card, drivers license, passport), one proof of residency (any utility bill with your current address) and if you deposited via Credit Card, one photo copy of the credit card used. This is done for security purposes, to prevent fraud, identity theft and underage gambling.
Withdrawal Methods
Credit/Debit Card: If you made a deposit with a credit or debit card, you are required to withdrawal up to the same amount deposited with the same card (if applicable – MasterCard does not usually allow withdrawals). This means if you deposited $150, then won $300, you would have to withdrawal the first $150 via the same card, then choose another withdrawal method for the remainder of the withdrawal. Some credit/debit cards will allow higher withdrawals than the deposited amount, but most do not.
Online Payment Processor: There are many online payment processors that will allow not only deposits, but also withdrawals from online casino accounts. In general, you will have to use an online payment processor to deposit before you can use the same method to withdrawal. Common online payment processors include NETeller, Moneybookers, Eco Card, eWalletXpress, Click2Pay and UseMyWallet. Aside from the typical 2-day waiting period invoked by most online casinos, these withdrawal methods are virtually instant.
Cash Transfer: Western Union and MoneyGram are both viable withdrawal methods for some online casinos. However, these are only available if you are making a rather large withdrawal. Cash Transfers can be quite expensive, and the online casino is going rarely going to foot the bill. In order for it to be worth it, you need to be processing a large withdrawal.
Bank Transfer: You can often receive your withdrawal directly into your bank account. If you deposited in this manner, there should be no additional information required by the online casino to process the withdrawal. This method can take quite a few days.
Bank Wire: Bank Wires are basically the same as Bank Transfers, except that the money is wired instantly from one bank to another. Though the time can be cut down to as little as a few minutes to one hour, the cost can be quite a bit higher.
Check by Mail: The slowest, but cheapest way to receive your withdrawal is to get a check in the mail. This is the number one option for USA casino players, who have the hardest time finding a viable withdrawal method. Considering the casino is on the other side of the world, it can take weeks to receive your payment.
Check by Courier: this method is incredibly faster than a Check by Mail, but you’ll have to be making a large withdrawal in order to cover the processing fees, and still come out with a tidy profit upon cashing the check.
I’m Clearing a Bonus – Can I Withdrawal?
If you’re in the process of clearing a casino bonus, do not request a withdrawal. This will result in the instant loss of the entire bonus, as well as any winnings derived from it. Some online casinos will allow the player to withdrawal up to the originally deposited amount, but anything over will forfeit the bonus. Either read the bonus terms and conditions thoroughly, or don’t even bother requesting a withdrawal until you know you’ve cleared your bonus first.
