Bodog Poker’s Final WSOP* Qualifier: 10 Main Event Seats Guaranteed

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

Bodog Poker has already qualified 30+ players for the 2010 World Series of Poker* and this Sunday, June 13 at 4:35pm ET, another 10 guaranteed world series main event seats will be up for grabs in Bodog Poker‘s final 2010 WSOP* qualifier of the season. Don’t miss out on this last chance opportunity to qualify for the world series main event with Bodog Poker. Big overlays are expected and will give players great value for their buy-in buck.

Bodog Poker’s final 2010 World Series of Poker* qualifier, starting Sunday, June 13 at 4:35pm ET, is a big one, with 10 guaranteed main event seats on the line. Players can choose from a number of different methods to enter the tournament, including buying in directly for $470+$30. Alternatively, players can earn a seat in the tournament by winning a mid-range main event semi-final (starting as low as $25+$2.50) or by entering any number of Bodog Poker’s daily cheap seat qualifiers (starting at as little as $1+$0) and working their way up to Sunday’s 10 guaranteed seats online poker tournament. Players can also work there ways into the tournament by playing any last chance qualifiers leading up to the final guaranteed seats tournament of the season. The buy-ins are low, the action is fast, and the payoffs are big.

“Like most poker players that qualify for the 2010 World Series of Poker* with Bodog, this will be my first trip to the main event as a member of Team Bodog,” says Bodog Poker Pro Amanda Musumeci. “I can’t wait to represent Bodog Poker at the biggest poker event in the world, and getting to share that experience with 40+ other players that qualified through Bodog Poker is going to be something to remember for sure!”

As a special bonus for followers of @Bodog on Twitter, Bodog Poker will be running a world series edition of Bodog Twitter Trivia, where instead of awarding the usual $150+$12 Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed buy-in Bodog Poker will be giving away three separate $470+$30 tickets to Sunday’s 10 guaranteed seats tournament. Running Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (June 9, 10 and 11 respectively), @Bodog will tweet a world series focused trivia question each day, followers can then direct message their answer along with Bodog account number, username or email address to @Bodog. Entries for each day will be accepted up until 11:59pm ET and each winner will be selected, at random, then contacted and announced via Twitter. That’s three separate chances to win a $470+$30 buy-in, and the opportunity to win one of 10 world series main event seats, free!

Bodog.com Celebrates 15-Year Anniversary With 15 Days of Poker Tournament Series

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

It was 15 years ago that Bodog.com opened its doors to the world and to celebrate this landmark achievement with online poker players, Bodog.com is hosting its 15 Days of Poker Tournament Series, a series of 15 qualifying tournaments culminating with a final freeroll event on Oct. 15 where a group of lucky players will battle it out for a share of a $15,000 prize pool.

“For 15 years, Bodog has been a leader in the online gambling industry, giving players a superior gaming experience while awarding billions in prizes,” says Bodog.com Poker Pro David Williams. “And Bodog.com’s 15 Days of Poker tournament series gives online poker players a fun and profitable way to celebrate this colossal achievement with Bodog.”

Bodog.com’s 15 Days of Poker gets underway on Monday, Sept. 21 with 15 days of qualifying tournaments running through Monday, Oct. 5. Each of the 15 qualifying tournaments will take place at 8:15 pm EST and feature buy-ins ranging from $5 to $15. A variety of Texas Holdem formats will be offered, including No Limit, Pot Limit, Fixed Limit, Turbo events, super-turbo events and re-buy events.

The prize pool in each qualifying tournament will be distributed the same way it would be in a regular Bodog tournament, but the top 30% of finishers from each event will earn Tournament Leaderboard Points, which determine who moves on to the 15 Days of Poker Semi Final and the $15,000 Final Tournament.

The Semi Final Tournament will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 8:15 pm EST, with the field consisting of those placing in 16th to 115th place on the 15 Days of Poker leaderboard as well as players who have competed in at least 10 qualifying events. The top 15 finishers in the Semi Final earn an automatic entry into the $15,000 Final Tournament. The winner also gets a seat in the weekly Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed online poker tournament, and the remaining top 14 finishers each win a seat in a $100,000 qualifier.

Bodog.com’s 15 Days of Poker celebration culminates on Oct. 15 at 8:15 pm EST with the $15,000 Final Tournament. In addition to the top 15 finishers from the Semi Final, the freeroll event will be open to players placing 1 through 15 on the 15 Days of Poker leaderboard and those who competed in at least 15 qualifying tournaments. The $15,000 prize pool will be distributed in usual tournament fashion, and the top 15 finishers will also win T$162 to play in the Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed, held every Sunday at 4:00 pm EST.

Bodog.com Guarantees More Cheap and Easy Seats to the 2009 WSOP* Main Event

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

Bodog.com Poker continues to offer online poker players the cheapest and easiest way to win a seat to the 2009 World Series of Poker* Main Event. This Sunday, regardless of how many players enter, Bodog.com will award four Main Event prize packages worth $12,000 in its Main Event Semifinal. The online poker powerhouse has also just added another qualifying event, held on Monday, May 25, guaranteeing at least two more $12,000 Main Event prize packages.

“Bodog.com is making it super easy for online poker players to qualify for this year’s Main Event in Las Vegas with qualifiers for as little as a buck,” says Bodog Poker Pro Evelyn Ng. “Winning a Main Event seat at Bodog is not only a shot at poker immortality but much, much more. It’s a chance to live the VIP Bodog lifestyle and all that accompanies that experience: the best gear in the industry, gadgets, a dedicated team of handlers, and access to exclusive events.”

Players have plenty of options – from Cheap Seat qualifiers to low stakes Sit & Gos – to win their way to Las Vegas and compete for the biggest prize in poker. For just $1, or 100 Bodog Poker Points (PTS), players can start down their path towards winning one of Bodog’s $12,000 Main Event prize packages awarded every Sunday in the Main Event Semifinal.

This Sunday, May 17, at 4:35pm EST, four players are guaranteed to walk away with a $12,000 Main Event prize package. They will join the winners of the May 3 Semifinal: “Tsmizzle26,” “RJules12,” “rmobley65,” and “SirSands.”

Then, on Monday, May 25, at 9:05pm EST, two more guaranteed prize packages are up for grabs, and even more seats to the Poker World Series Main Event in Las Vegas will be awarded throughout June.

Walking away from a Semifinal with one of Bodog’s coveted World Series Main Event prize packages means more than just earning a seat to the $10,000 buy-in Main Event. Winners will instantly become members of the tight-knit group of poker players that make up Team Bodog. On top of the $10,000 buy-in, those donning the black and red of Team Bodog will also receive $2,000 for travel to and accommodation in Las Vegas, a stylish Bodog gear bag worth $400+, and access to VIP events and player’s club evenings. Players that qualifying through Bodog.com will also be given the pro treatment as a dedicated team of handlers will be on-site to take care of their needs, allowing them to focus on what truly matters, their poker game.

Turning a few dollars into a few million is the dream of every online poker player that qualifies for the World Series Main Event. What caught fire in 2003 with Chris Moneymaker and his $2.5 million win continued last year with the excitement surrounding the November Nine final table and Peter Eastgate’s incredible $9 million payday. Members of Team Bodog took home more than $1.8 million at last year’s World Series, and with this year’s field expected to equal or exceed that of the previous year, Bodog.com Poker is the cheapest and easiest way to find yourself competing for a coveted gold bracelet.

‘Biffsworld’ Wins Bodog Poker Open III Main Event

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

The Bodog Poker Open III wrapped up a hugely successful week of tournaments on Sunday night with the Bodog Poker Open III Main Event. The $500 buy-in championship event drew 279 online poker players and featured a prize pool of $161,130, which included $30,000 in added prize money courtesy of Bodog.com. In the end it was “Biffsworld” who bested the tough field to become Bodog.com’s next poker champion, winning the $40,282.50 first-place prize.

The 23-year-old Pennsylvania resident has been playing on the virtual felt of the Bodog.com Online Poker room since Oct. 2007 and has taken down several smaller tournaments over the past two years, but this is by far his biggest cash. Much like the last two Bodog Poker Open Main Events, Biffsworld did not have an easy road to victory. The field featured many well-known online poker aces, including Bodog.com Poker Pros Jean-Robert Bellande and Justin Bonomo, who played alongside regular Bodog.com leaderboard fixtures “ImTheJackal,” “IGotAPair,” “Bevos_Nuts,” “daisyxoxo,” “vinnyb9,” “3pounder,” and the inaugural BPO Main Event winner “phatcat.”

“With around 25 people left I realized I had a shot at winning the event,” says Biffsworld. “I started really building up a good size stack and was able to pad my lead by putting a lot of pressure on my opponents. I was also fortunate to win a lot of coin flips.”
The Bodog Poker Open III Main Event final table results are as follows:
1. biffsworld – $40,283
2. ShuMoneyTonite – $26,989
3. Mr Walcott – $17,885
4. Seanpoker1 – $12,890
5. Sebby10 – $9,346
6. ImTheJackal – $7,251
7. RJules12 – $5,640
8. Mazelucky – $4,028
9. SKeeeter – $2,739
The Bodog Poker Open III Main Event was one of three Main Events that took place on Sunday, representing the three tiers of tournaments that have been running all week long: the Championship Tournament Series, Mid-Stakes Tournament Series, and Mini-Bounty Tournament Series.

The $150 buy-in Bodog Poker Open III Mid-Main Event pulled in 217 players, generating a prize pool of $32,550. Online poker player “scarface0928″ outlasted 2008 Bodog Tournament Leaderboard Champion “alienface” in a heads-up duel to capture the title and its $8,951.24 first-place prize.

The $15,000 Guaranteed Bodog Poker Open III Mini-Main Event gave the 321 entrants incredible value for their $50 buy-in. When all was said and done, Bodog regular “winjack” walked away with the top prize of $3,750.

“The Bodog Poker Open III was the most diverse and accessible tournament series Bodog.com has ever hosted, giving online poker players of every experience and bankroll level the chance to get in on the action,” said Bodog.com Poker Pro Justin Bonomo. “Now that the Bodog Poker Open III is behind us, players can look ahead to the 2009 World Series of Poker* and joining me and the rest of Team Bodog in Las Vegas by qualifying through one Bodog’s cheap and easy qualifying tournaments.”

Over the past eight days, the Bodog Poker Open III paid out an incredible $606,741 in prize money and drew 4,861 online poker players who participated in the unique combination of high-stake, mid-stake and low-stake events. In the Mini-Bounty Tournament Series an incredible T$12,150 in bounties was paid to 243 players.

With another successful Bodog Poker Open in the books and the summer quickly approaching, attention in the Bodog Poker room turns to qualifying online poker players for the 2009 World Series of Poker*. Bodog’s simple and easy online qualifiers for $12,000 Main Event VIP packages start for as little as $1+$0 and offer online poker players a surefire shot at poker immortality.

Bodog Poker Open III Is Here And It’s Bigger Than Ever

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

Online poker‘s best new tournament series is back for its third installment, and it’s better than ever. The 26-event Bodog Poker Open III (BPOIII) kicks off Sunday, April 26, and ends with the Championship Series Main Event on Sunday, May 3. Making the competition thrice as nice for online poker players are three different tournament series to choose from—money added, guaranteed and bounty—and more than $280,000 in prize money, including $75,000 in added cash from Bodog.

“The Bodog Poker Open has quickly become online pokers most talked about series as top pros and amateurs alike battle for the ultimate bragging rights and serious prize money,” said Bodog Poker Pro David Williams. “Bodog Poker has once again stepped up in a big way to sweeten the pot and make things interesting for everyone, and I’m ready to gun for the series’ coveted crown and take on all comers looking to knock me out of any of the bounty events.”

Featuring varying levels of buy-ins to accommodate every type of poker player, the BPOIII will run three concurrent series: the Championship Tournament Series, Mid-Stakes Tournament Series and Mini-Bounty Tournament Series.

For the higher-limit online poker player, the BPOIII Championship Tournament Series is where the action will be as players compete in a series of 10 events with buy-ins ranging from $50+$5 (with rebuys) to $470+$30. Bodog is juicing the prize pools of all events, with the first nine events receiving an extra $5,000 from Bodog, and for the Championship Series Main Event on Sunday, May 3, Bodog is adding an incredible $30,000 in prize money, bringing the total of added money over the course of the series to a whopping $75,000.

While the buy-ins won’t be quite as high, the action won’t be any less intense in the BPOIII Mid-Stakes Tournament Series, which features $140,000 in guaranteed prize money spread out over eight events. This series gets underway on Sunday, April 26 with the $100+$9 buy-in Kickoff Tournament and culminates on Sunday, May 3 with the $150+$13 buy-in Mid-Main Event, where players compete for a guaranteed prize pool of $30,000. The six events in between feature buy-ins ranging from $20+$2 (with rebuys) to $69+$6.

Finally, for those who prefer the lower limits but crave the action and excitement of playing the higher-limits, there is the BPOIII Mini-Bounty Tournament Series. Featuring $65,000 in guaranteed prize money over eight events, the Mini-Bounty series has all the feel of a major online poker tournament as entrants compete against some of Bodog’s best online poker players, including: Bodog Poker Pros Evelyn Ng, Jean-Robert Bellande, David Williams and Justin Bonomo – as well as past Bodog Poker Open II winners, 12 Days of Poker winners, Monthly TLB winners, Top 10 TLB Yearly winners, Mini-SOP winners, and Bodog Flight Club winners. By knocking out any one of these Bounty Players, participants win a seat into the Mini-Main Event on Sunday, May 3.
Daily qualifiers for all levels of the Bodog Poker Open III are already underway in the Bodog Poker room, giving players the chance to get the most value out of their money by winning seats to events for pennies on the dollar.

“The new Instant Play option at Bodog is perfect for when I want to play poker on my Mac or play cash games on a friend’s computer who may not have the Bodog Poker client installed,” says Bodog Poker Pro Evelyn Ng. “You can even snatch a few games at work.”

Indeed, the Instant Player version of Bodog Poker gives players total freedom to play when and where they want, whether it’s getting in 20 minutes of poker during a break at work, playing a marathon session from a hotel room while on a business trip, or hitting the tables on that shiny new Mac at home.
